Anticonvulsants
Anticonvulsants, also known as antiepileptic drugs (AEDs), are a class of medications primarily used in the management and prevention of epileptic seizures. These drugs work by stabilizing the electrical activity in the brain and reducing the abnormal firing of neurons, thus preventing or minimizing seizure activity. Anticonvulsants can be effective in controlling various types of seizures, including generalized seizures, focal seizures, and other forms of epilepsy.
